The UVE may not be an accurate guide to the protection provided under certain conditions. Factors such as variations in design, heigh and size of shade structure, stretching of fabric, distance of fabric from the persons, the direction of sunlight, and the physical location of the persons with in the shade structure (edges/centre) may influence the measured value.
